Here are some photos from my second day in Shanghai. My buddy Rocky from Nike Shanghai picked us up and we had lunch at a spot called Origin, followed by a quick tour of the area. After that we went straight over to the Expo to meet up with Ming who hooked up the VIP passes into the expo. Where some might only get to see 5 or 6 pavilions in a full 8 hour day, we got to see 11 pavilions in about 4 hours, many thanks to Ming and Rocky for the hook up.

A lot of photographers have one of these little seat/stands, at the expo, nearly everyone had one! With so much walking, people sat every chance they got.

The UK Pavilion building is completely mind blowing! Even in photos its amazing, seeing it in person is damn next level.

The China Pavilion requires a full 8 hour queue and there is zero VIP admittance but they did allow V-VIP. The building is nice tho!

I’m slowly catching up with photos from the recent six week trip, below are photos from my first day in Shanghai. After eating, we went straight to the Shanghai Expo for the night session. Shanghai reminds me a little more of NYC than Hong Kong does, I won’t explain here but if you are a New Yorker and spend some time there, you’ll see what I mean.

This is the best fried dumpling I’ve ever had, seriously ever.

The few days I spent in China was very very low key and I didn’t do much at all except eat and relax. I did appreciate visiting an old temple which was a nice change.

This a crazy electronic automatic mahjong table, you dump your cards into the pit and a fresh set comes up ready to go within mins! Crazy!!

Here are a few select photos from my visit to Florence, I was there to help shoot behind the scenes coverage of the Luisa Via Roma Firenze4Ever 10th Anniversary celebration for Wendy/nitro:licious (check out some more coverage on her site) and a little for Freshness as well. The hotel was amazing, Il Salviatino is a hill side hotel about 15 mins from the heart of Florence with an amazing view. The room was a garden suite with a green house looking into the garden, in addition there was a personal service ambassador, similar to butler service. Pretty amazing!

At the shoots I had the pleasure of meeting some of the worlds top fashion bloggers including Bryan Boy, Sea of Shoes, The Bag Hag, Chic Muse, and William MG. Along with nitro:licious, we became a pack hanging out most of the trip, as well as spending our last night together for dinner and some after hours fun. Overall, another amazing blogger trip!! Much thanks Luisa Via Roma and Wendy for hooking up the trip.

I had the best fresh pasta and the best steak I’ve ever had at Buca Lapi, this is a must try spot!

Our last night there was the Luisa Via Roma 10th anniversary party, we spent a bit more time hanging out in front of the store than inside. It was a great time!!

A few photos from Cannes Film Festival Day 1

It’s been a little nuts since getting to Cannes, I basically didn’t sleep on my 6pm flight out of JFK to Paris. Arriving at local Paris time 8am, connecting to Nice with an hour delay and another 45 min transfer to Cannes didn’t help at all. But getting premiere tickets to Wall Street: Money Never Sleeps covered all that. I didn’t realize it but it the red carpet requires you wear a full tuxedo and bow tie. Many thanks to Stella Artois and Jacques d’Azur.

The hotel, Le Manoir de l’Etang, is pretty amazing!

We had the official Festival de Cannes limo going there so along the way there were tons of spectators wondering who we are. That’s some Jacques d’Azur status right there.

Stella Artois also hooked some yacht parties, the first one we went to was the Pegasus II.

We also went to the Harle for some more fun. More to come…

Totally forgot to check the flight while rushing out of the hotel, I’ve been here at SFO for 3 hours. While having a long brunch, I had another chance run in with photographer Jason Lewis who shot the MSFT KIN event last night. I also ran into him at the lobby of the W while checking in, and of course at the KIN event. I’m wearing my Cons CTS Black Perf.

Chicago with Le Coq Sportif & BKRW

Le Coq Sportif had myself and two outlets from New York out to Chicago for the launch of the Joakim Noah Pro Model, I totally didn’t think about it but being a French company they’d have French media as well. A large group from France were in town as well and one of them was Jay from http://www.bkrw.com,I ended up hanging out with Jay and his crew most of the time out there. Le Coq has us on a fun architectural cruise but too bad it was freezing. We had some free time so we went to check out St Alfred and ran into Errol from Nike, he gave us a sneak peak of the new Nike x St Alfred Store, more on http://www.freshnessmag.com soon. We also had tickets to the Bulls/Cavs game, (thanks to Jill and Mikaela for hooking up fourth row after the 1st quarter!!) but LeBron didn’t play unfortunately and the Cavs lost by 1. Much thanks to Mikaela from True121 and the Le Coq Sportif crew!
